The Missouri Valley Chamber of Commerce has made a decision to not hold the annual Chili Cook Off fund raiser event in January 2021. We want our community to stay safe and healthy during this pandemic timeframe. We will miss tasting all the different variations of soup, and the fun time spent with family and friends, that this event gathers together. This will give an extra year to create the BEST CHILI EVER, to those participants that will compete in 2022!
The Missouri Valley Chamber of Commerce opened this window decorating contest to any business that wanted to participate, whether they were Chamber members or not. Thank you to the businesses who made the effort and took the time to make Erie street look festive and bright for the Christmas season.

Our next 150th Celebration planning meeting will take place on November 12th at the Eagle’s Club, from 6 – 7 PM. We will be voting on the logo selections. Updates of event plans will be requested. Bring your budget estimates for your events. See you then! Volunteers to help are always welcomed!
From the City of Missouri Valley…..After much deliberation, the Watson Station Board has decided it will not be holding their annual Halloween Party or Polar Express events. We appreciate your understanding.
A decision was reached to cancel this year’s annual Halloween Parade that was scheduled for October 22nd. Our community’s health and safety were the first concerns in making the plans for this event, during this pandemic time. The recent increase in local positive cases demands that social distancing and face mask requirements are adhered to. We are saddened that the event will not happen this year, and we will miss seeing all the costumed kids.
The next meeting will be on October 15th, from 6-7 PM, at the Commercial building in the Missouri Valley City Park. Face masks are highly recommended and social distancing will be observed. Come join the group and offer your ideas! Plans are still fluid. See you then.
